about that marshal law cgi-video trailer and omnibus from top shelf

man, this is a "pleasant" blast from the past: Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill's MARSHAL LAW is set to be published as a all-up one-volume, full-color, 500(+)-page definitive Marshal Law Omnibus collection by Top Shelf in 2009 [details here] and there's a CG-trailer for it too, created by Nick Percival (sorry folks, no youtube-vid to embed for ya :p) - CLICK HERE to view trailer and CLICK HERE to find out who is Marshal Law :)

WHO IS:
"Marshal Law is an English language superhero comic book series created by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill. One of the first major creator-owned character for a major publisher, it was first published by Epic Comics in 1987. The series is a savage satire on the whole superhero genre, and certain specific hero characters in particular. The series is characterised by its extreme graphic violence and nudity, and Mills' merciless savaging of superhero conventions and US government policy and society.

The title character, Marshal Law, is a government-sanctioned vigilante with superpowers in the city of San Futuro, the near-future metropolis built from the ruins of San Francisco following a massive earthquake. Law's purpose is to take down other superheroes who have gone rogue, which he does with maximum force and great pleasure."

i've always liked enjoyed ML (altho i was a fan of Mills&O'Neill since Nemesis The Warlock muahahahaha), who reminded me of a super-hero-Judge Dredd, innit? but with adult themes and copious amounts of OTT-violence (as any glorious Brit-creations of the mid-80's era circa 2000AD would have, IMHO) ... and also of The Comedian in the Watchmen (them vigilantes are all amalgams of each other anyways, more often than not influenced by the Village People muahahaha :p) ... am wondering if this was ever optioned as a full-fledged feature film tho ... hey, if they could make Dredd with "I-Am-Duh-Lawr"-Stallone ... am just sayin'! ... heh.
