3AA for 2010 by ThreeA Toys / 3A-Associates 2009 Review

In another few short days, 2009 will be but a faint memory, with 2010 waiting at the wings to surprise us with new toys galore! And with the new year, heralds a new membership opportunity for folks who had missed out on ThreeA Toys' 2009 3A-Associates Membership [3AA-tagged on TRE]!

Scheduled for availability on two dates: January 8th and January 15th, 2010 ~ Cost for membership remains at US$150 per (similar to 2009's) and includes a newe membership-card, and an exclusive WWRp de Plume figure as part of the 3AA-package! But why 2 separate days, you might ask? Here is why:

- January 8th is open for existing members of 3AA (2009) who wants to renew ~ inclusive discount benefits (15% off SRP).

- January 15th will be opened for new memberships to the public (available only for a 24 hour-window from start of sales / TBC) and without discount benefits.

Both spots are limited (tho no number has been revealed). Once any existing members do not renew, the numbers will be put forward into the new membership limit.

One thing to note, for folks clamoring for 3AA-exclusives: "From now on all exclusives will only be sold to 3AA members, no general selling will occur. The amount ordered in a specified time of the said exclusives will be made".

PACKAGING-BOX: Housed within the brown carton box was a lush thick cardbox with matt surface and spotting delish glossy text. Imprinted on the box-top is the membership number corresponding to the Membership Card number. Very individualistic-touch this, and nigh appreciated!

One unique aspect of the box is the relief sculpted image of Bramble in action, mounted to the box-top. Not too sure of the metal but it sure wasn't plastic-material!

CONTENTS / INTERNAL-TRAY: The box slides up top to reveal the inner-tray of goodies that lie within, which includes an exclusive WWRp-scaled Desert Attack Bramble ~ complete with Gaitling-gun and plastic rounds, Membership Card, and a 3A-Tee (housed underneath the tray). One specific thing of note, was that the fabric-sewn pouches for Bramble is sealed in a separate plastic bag that was taped to the tray. I have since misplaced the pouches! (Hence they are not shown in the images below ~ *sob*)

WWRp-DESERT-ATTACK-BRAMBLE: As for the Bramble-figure itself, the images speak for themselves, don't they? Featuring the signature weathering technique of ThreeZero on an Ashley Wood-designed fully-articulated action figure. One thing to note, the joints for my figure were pretty tight and hardly able to move (I did not apply too much force, as I'd fear it breaking!), no doubt due to prolonged storage within the box (I have zero-display space, so sue me ;p). So what I dare suggest is either gently but firmly twist a little bit until the joints are loosened (work for the leg-joints).

Yes, the finger-joints are all articulated! But in my figure, a little bit too loose to be able to hold a firm grip, specifically on the weapon. The plastic-bullets were also a tad difficult to attach to the backpack (I had used tape for this shoot, hence certain angles of Bramble are not shown :p). Attachment of bullet-rounds to weapon was not a problem.

One of the key-aspects of the 3AA-membership in 2009 was the individually printed / embossed plastic Membership Cards! Although I had wanted to use the name "TOYSREVIL", but was late in submitting my request :( ~ also note the specific Membership-Number, which corresponded with the order number (if memory serves me right :p).
