GOODBYE2012/HELLO2013: Philip Reed (of BattleGrip)

TOYSREVIL: Share with us your most triumphant moment in 2012.

PHILIP REED: Most triumphant moment of 2012 has to be when the office Kickstarter project closed at over $900,000. That was completely unexpected and has led to a year of learning completely new things about manufacturing games.

TOYSREVIL: What is your most favorite toy, or piece of art you've seen in 2012?

PHILIP REED: It's hard to choose only one favorite toy of 2012, so instead I'll just say that one of my favorite toys of the year is the Masters of the Universe Classics Draego-Man action figure. A great dragonman design by the Four Horsemen. I reviewed the toy here (shown here).

TOYSREVIL: What are you most looking forward to in 2013?

PHILIP REED: As to what I am looking forward to most in 2013 it's a tie between Transforming Collections, my book about third party Transformers toys, and the giant Castle Grayskull playset that Mattel is releasing late in the year. I still can't believe that playset is actually being made; the size is amazing and it is likely to be one of the more impressive playsets of all time.

TOYSREVIL: Philip operates and authors www.battlegrip.com - the venue for action figure reviews and Transformers news!
