GOODBYE2012/HELLO2013: Don Kratzer (of Fig-Lab)

TOYSREVIL: Share with us your most triumphant moment in 2012.

DON KRATZER: By far the best moment for me this year was the first release of Fig-lab's first production figures - the Finger Five Series 1! Two and a half years in the making - there were several times that I thought it was never going to happen. Big ups to my co-conspirators - Matt from Onell, the Super Sucklord, L'amour Supreme, MonstreHero and most of all the incomparable PAUL KAIJU!

TOYSREVIL: What is your most favorite toy, or piece of art you've seen in 2012?

DON KRATZER: For me everything PK (Paul Kaiju) has been doing this year has been totally killing it - Unchiman, Pollen Kaizer, King Jinx. Also have been really digging the micro-sofubi trend here in Japan - Butanohana, Blobpus, Yamomark - small is the new BIG in JAPAN! Also all the 40th anniversary Devilman tribute figs by the RealxHead crew were super sweet. However if you force me to choose just one toy from this year - the Astro Mu-sized Mazinga Z figure from Secret Base is a pretty damn cool toy.

TOYSREVIL: What are you most looking forward to in 2013?

DON KRATZER: In the coming year, I am excited about a new initiative code-named Re:Bootleg that is getting underway. Also looking forward to getting started on the Finger Five series 2, plus some more crossover projects with my Evil Robot character CY'13.
