Dan Willett (Unbox Industries) Answers "How Was 2013?"

WHAT: I asked a select few folks how their 2013 was, and what should folks expect from them in 2014, and this is what they shared with TOYSREVIL…

DAN WILLETT: 2013 was a tough year, finances were a constant juggling act as we steadily expanded our team and resources.

Our new infrastructure will hopefully allow us to some pretty interesting projects but we had to grind our way through!

It was great to finally meet a whole bunch of people at NYCC including Joe Merrill, Monster Worship, Kaiju Andy, Chad, Grizli Atom, Toy Viking, the Mishka crew, Frank Kozik, Bwana Spoons and Miles from Muntiki (who's work is incredible!)
Oh...and of course...the beautiful Skinner!!

Project wise, working with The Diarticulators,Jeff Lamm, Pete Fowler, Eric So, Seto Ping, Ryan Lee, Pete McKee, Tado, Mark James, Toby HK, Triclops and the legendary Skinner (plus a few I cannot mention!) has been very humbling. These guys are true professionals and extremely supportive.

DAN WILLETT: Unbox seem to be tied up with a huge amount of OEM work this year so our releases under the Unbox name will be sparse but hopefully memorable!
Project wise,we are not quite ready to talk about our future releases yet but we will continue our strategy of releasing licensed and non licensed toys throughout 2014.

There will also be an announcement that should raise a few eyebrows in a few weeks or so! We would also like to thank all the collectors, bloggers and supporters that make the business all worthwhile.
