Seen @ #STGCC2015: Black Seed

Hong Kong based designer Kenneth Tang AKA "Black Seed" (Facebook) helmed his own booth at Artist Alley at the recent #STGCC2015, and made available his custom mashup-versions of Disney characters (LOVED the RoBoCop and would have loved to own it but for the price), and as well his vinyl kaiju monsters, designed and produced by himself, in various customer painted colorways over clear vinyl figures! I'd managed to score two out of three of the kaijus (I missed getting the Corm Monster!!!!) and enjoyed them! I have to say though, these were quite squishy soft vinyl, much moreso than Japanese sofubi.

Available bagged-n-tagged with header-card, the blue-hued one was priced at SG$40, while the orange/green custom paint was at SG$63. Possessing the chibi-ness not necessarily associated with monsters, these guys were adorable! Check out the booth snaps shown here (including imgaes via Lai Yui Wai / used with kind permission), and check out his booth at the coming Taipei Toy Festival in October for more of his vinyl monsters!
