Lunar Beast & Cleric by Daniel Yu

Featured above is a one-off painted edition of the LUNAR BEAST & CLERIC = a new figure form from Daniel Yu (www.thedanielyu.com / store.thedanielyu.com / #onTOYSREVIL) which he had created, sculpted and painted, of which this particular piece is currently on showcase at “MASKS”, a group exhibition at Diesel Art Gallery, Tokyo. Curated by the good people at Kult Gallery, “Masks” opens till 11th November.

And featured on his Instagram @thedanielyu, is a series of behind the scenes making-of the figures, as well as sharing his process! Scroll down for judicious reposts of the making of the 6-inch tall “Lunar Beast”, while you can see how the “Cleric” was done, chronicled on his IG.

I’d asked Daniel if we’ll be seeing this pair at the GENESIS 4 Artist Alley Stand #AA89 & AA90, for this year’s Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention / STGCC2016 (Sept 10-11, 2016) - to which he replied might well be a tight timeline, as he’s loaded with projects and activities (aka “Reservist”) … so cross your fingers to see this up close, folks!

The Beast from the East. Stands 6 inches tall.
