SAMURAI APES by Gilang Ayyobbi AKA yyobbi @ #UrbanToyStage 2017

If you have been event pictures from Urban Toy Stage (4-5th March @ Kuningan City Mall, Jakarta, Indonesia), you would have noticed a trio of furred and clothed simians/apes on show! They belong to Bandung, Indonesia-based creator Gilang Ayyobbi H AKA @yyobbi, and these “SAMURAI APES” are his first creations of 2017!

Bring toy-life to the stylized designed apes in faux fur - which includes an Orangutan and a Baboon - and clad in fashionable fusion of urban street x traditional samurai elements, these look exceeding interesting, IMHO! Perhaps they are “related” to “Sariatu” from LAIKA’s stop-motion extravaganza “Kubo and the Two Strings”? Or from the same village? AWESOME if they were, tho!

No news (as yet) if they will be made available for sales, but you’d do well to keep connected to Instagram @loyal_fur / facebook.com/loyalfur - where he creates his critters for (check out that “Pava”!) - for updates!

Meanwhile, scroll down for MORE PICS!
