Plaseebo at ROCO opening of "Its Not Funny" Show + Q&A with Bob Conge

Bob Conge of Plaseebo shares some snaps with us of his display at the "Its Not Funny” show, which launched April 7th (WHAT). I had a chance to ask him a couple questions, which you can read by scrolling thru!

The "Its Not Funny” show at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center in Rochester NY exhibits thru May 13th, 2017. As well, you can to view all coverage of Plaseebo #onTOYSREVIL!

TOYSREVIL: Congratulations on your showing, Bob! These look great! It looks like a retrospective of your work, IMHO! What would you say is the oldest dated piece here? And which is the latest work dated?
BOB CONGE: While I do have some earlier pieces in this show, it is not intended to be a retrospective of my work. Many of the larger pieces are somewhat earlier and some from my personal collection which are not for sale.

Most of the pieces have not been shown before and of those I created 26 new pieces for this show in the last 60 days.

TOYSREVIL: How do you feel about having your works on show to folks who might not necessarily dwell within the "art toy scene"?
BOB CONGE: I am most pleased to have this opportunity to introduce my work to this gallery audience, I only met one collector at the opening who knew of Plaseebo. It was refreshing and the reception of my work was very favorable as attested to by enthusiastic comments and a generous amount of red dots.
