TOYSREVIL's Top Ten Toys For 2014 - #8: BABY CE

I am enamored with BABY CE. The concept of presentation and notion of playability and adaptability pushes it to a level of toy-joy I appreciate (Bootlegos at #9 is a clear indication of my preferences these days, methinks!), and at the same time, harking back to the good ol'simple "play" without too much frills.

While on the outside it looks more "effective" as a faux fashion accessory with geek-cred, the hobby-kit presentation DOES work, with the result an articulated mini figure - which I had Reviewed Here. And while I'd be stretching it by saying it is the "epitome of solid toy engineering", it instead represents the possibilities of toy-ness in a small package open to tons more options and evolution in the not too distant future!

Based on the aesthetics of MAFIA Factory's CE Buddy, the Baby CE made it's debut at the inaugural Bangkok Comic Con 2014, and has since had exclusives with Giant Robot (for SDCC), Popcon 2014 and Ozzo Collection (for STGCC) in Singapore. Would be utterly sweet if there'll be a TOYSREVIL-Edition tho … juz saying'! :)
